Question:
How many warnings must the employer give to an employee for poor performance before termination of employment?

Answer:
There is no hard and fast rule but must be reasonable. Written warnings spread over a period of between 3 to 6 months would appear that the employee is given sufficient time and opportunity to correct the employee's attitude or performance issue. For probationer, warnings must be given over the probationary period to allow the probationer to improve.
